The six wonderkids deemed by GOAL to have more potential than Kobbie Mainoo

Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo came in at number seven on GOAL's annual NXGN list, which ranks the 50 greatest young talents in the globe.

The United young player's previous few months have undoubtedly been hectic as he's made his mark on Erik ten Hag's team and received his first England call-up.

He is without a doubt one of the best teenage prospects in the world, but according to GOAL, there are six other kids who have more promise than the 18-year-old.

We've examined the NXGN top 50 list in more detail and focused on the six wonderkids who placed roughly Mainoo on the list.

Vitor Roque

Roque, who is only 19 years old, has accomplished a great deal in the game already. In addition to having over 100 professional appearances under his belt, he was capped by his nation, won a league championship in Brazil, and is currently the main man for Barcelona.

After a string of successful years at Athletico Paranaense, Barcelona quickly saw the teenager's potential and worked out a deal to sign him last summer. In January, he then joined the La Liga team, and he hasn't turned back since.

Despite being primarily deployed as an impact substitute in his first 11 games, he has managed to score two goals. The team will be patient with the young player's growth, according to Xavi's insistence.
In January, Xavi told reporters, "We will take things slow with him because he is only 18 and we can't shoulder too much responsibility on him."
"We will exercise caution, but he is doing well, eager, and has adapted to the group and training very quickly."

Arda Guler

When Guler has already earned the moniker "Turkish Messi," you can be sure that the sky is the limit for him. After moving to Real Madrid in the summer, the 19-year-old has continued to grow in Spain.

Guler is a cunning attacking midfielder with a lethal drop of the shoulder who possesses all the tools to soon establish himself as a top player.

The teenager has made seven senior appearances and scored one goal since moving to Spain. Without a doubt, he still has more in store for us in the coming years.

Tel Mathys

This season, Tel has garnered a lot of attention even though they are Harry Kane's backup. The forward, who is eighteen, is the epitome of a super-sub.
Remarkably, he has started from the bench in 28 of his 33 games this season. It's amazing that he's scored so many goals in light of the lack of stars.

He's scored eight goals and contributed four assists in all competitions. He is now averaging a goal every 75.9 minutes, which is not bad considering his limited playing time. That takes work.
Although the French forward appears happy in his current role, he will eventually want to be a starter. He extended his deal with Bayern earlier this month, taking it to the summer of 2029.

Warren Zaire-Emery

The PSG young player is faster than most people in his age group. He has already made a name for himself at PSG as a consistent starter at the age of 18, and he was also given quick access to the France team.

Kylian Mbappe, a teammate, has already given the young French prospect the go-ahead, telling reporters, "He is fascinating." He plays with a lot of personality and has already reached a fairly mature age.

He is an aggressive midfielder who doesn't hesitate to advance the ball. All we need to do is go with him.

Endrick

After paying €72 million (£61 million) to move to Real Madrid, Endrick rose to the position of fourth most expensive adolescent in history. The 17-year-old talent is the subject of extreme buzz, and for good cause.

Brazil has already given him two caps, and he appears to be a future Galactico. When the teenager turns 18 in the summer, he will formally sign with Real Madrid.

We are really thrilled to have him visit Europe the next season. We were dumbfounded by his 2023 goal catalogue.

Yamal Lamine

For good cause, the La Masia product is ranked number one on the NXGN top 50 list. Yamal is the youngest player on our list at just 16 years old, yet he's already miles ahead of many of his rivals.
The Barcelona supporters are ecstatic that he has skillfully filled the vacuum left by Ousmane Dembele leaving for PSG on the right wing.

He has contributed six goals and seven assists in 40 games this season, one goal every 167 minutes on average. Nowadays, it would be difficult to find a child with greater promise than Yamal.

Yamal stated earlier this month on the FC Barcelona website, "It's been a dream to be able to play for FC Barcelona in front of our fans." The sensation of sharing a dressing room with elite athletes is also exceptional. I'm incredibly happy and joyful because everything is fresh to me. This was unlike anything I had ever experienced. My sole goal is to continue playing and having fun while wearing the Barca jersey.
